Immersive Experience
Voice-Reactive Banner Game
This was part of the work that won the Nikestore and NikeID interactive account for Agency.com in a pitch against Goodby, AKQA, Organic, Razorfish and others.
The assignment was to create innovative, interactive banners and real-world experiences surrounding Nike's sponsorship of the 2008 US Olympic Team in Beijing.
Opening with an Olympic athlete performing, this banner then invites you to click (automatically turning on your PC's mic) and yell encouragement at the athlete. The power of your voice can give the Olympian a second wind, propelling them to win gold.
People could try to keep up with the footwork of their favorite US Olympic Team athlete via a long strip of interactive flooring. The athletes was shot from below so you could see the soles of their Nikes. You could try to match their speed/ball-handling skill, etc. A section of the floor measured the outline of your foot and displayed the Nikes to fit that match whatever sport you chose.
It was linked to an online databae where you could see how well the public keeps up with the athletes, and allowed them to save and post their scores online.
Reactive Floor Installation
We invited people to mimic an Olympic Team member’s training schedule for the 2008 Olympic Games. By signing up, you get a desktop and mobile widget with the athlete's training schedule, plus pre-recorded text and voice messages from the athlete challenging you to keep up.
